Job Title: PRODUCTION CLERK
Reports To: DIRECTOR OF STUDENT NUTRITION
General Job Description:
Under general supervision, complies and maintains Food Service Records for the Kitchen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Input and ensure accuracy of participation data reports. Input all status changes.
- Prepare and make daily bank deposits.
- Compile travel lists for employees required to travel from site to site.
- Compile paperwork reporting breakfast and lunch totals for satellite schools.
- Reconcile and input cashier reports.
- Organize all invoices by date and vendor. Turning them into Food Service office on time.
- Setting up mileage for each of the staff, checking it before it gets turned in so it is correct.
- Organize all timesheets in alphabetical order, checking to make sure they are filled out correctly before turning them into Food Service office on time.
- Receive the morning counts from the satellite schools.
- Receive and research complaints and discrepancies in counts or receipts.
- Prepare daily satellite reports for satellite schools.
- Work as a cashier and in the kitchen.
- Collect and maintain production records from all of your assigned sites.
- On occasion, collect and maintain other sites production records.
- Knowledge of basic mathematical functions.
- Knowledge of computer systems, including data bases and word processing programs.
- Personal and professional task management through the use of technology.
- Maintain confidentiality with sensitive matters.
- Be flexible and able to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate and detailed records.
- Possess organizational skills.
- Be able to make sound decisions.
- Report to work on time and work no less than 6 hours per day.
- Work independently with very little supervision.
- Complete a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities.
- Comply with all Federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies in regards to food service operations.
- May be required to perform other related duties/functions as assigned by your supervisor.
- Must obtain a current Food Manager Food Safety certification, current or within 30 days.
- Wear approved RISD Cafeteria uniform and comply with local, state and federal health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Basic mathematical, reading, writing skills.
- Basic computer and technology skills.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 40 pounds), reaching, climbing, squatting, kneeling, have full mobility of fingers/hands, and moving light furniture may be required, unless ADA accommodations have been mutually agreed on and does not create an undue hardship upon the district.
Safety and Health:
Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions (blood borne pathogens, body fluids, etc.)
Equipment/Material Handled:
Must know how to properly operate, or be willing to learn to operate, multi-media equipment including current technology as needed.

Work Environment:
Must be able to work within various degrees of noise and temperature. Job responsibilities may require both inside and outside assignments. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and
able to complete job assignment without supervision and efficiently. After hours work may be required. May work under stressful conditions on occasion.
